Join us for a powerful and unforgettable opening to the Spirit of 1776 South Jersey Celebration as we officially come together to commemorate the 250th Birthday of the United States of America!

Following our Patriot Parade on Saturday, September 19, our Grand Inaugural Ceremony at 10:30 AM will bring together veterans, active-duty military, first responders, elected officials, community leaders, families, and special guests from throughout South Jersey for a stirring tribute to our nation.

Through patriotic music, military honors, special presentations, and recognition of those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom, we will celebrate the principles and people that have carried America through 250 years of history.

This is more than an opening ceremony—it is South Jersey coming together as one community to honor our past, celebrate our freedom, and inspire the next generation of Americans.

Get ready for an unforgettable FREE family celebration of America’s 250th Birthday! Bring the entire family to Veterans Park for a day packed with excitement, entertainment, history, and patriotism—with FREE admission for everyone!

Enjoy face painters, caricature artists, bounce houses, a petting zoo, historical displays, police K-9 demonstrations, fire truck displays, military vehicles, military flyovers, live musical performances, karaoke, bagpipes, a Mummers String Band, Civil War cannon fire, live radio broadcasts, and so much more!

Throughout the day, history will come alive while today’s heroes take center stage, including a special ceremony honoring South Jersey heroes who have served, sacrificed, and made a difference in our communities.
